I’m Rajini Jayadev, a retired engineer from Kayamkulam, Kerala and you have stumbled onto my blog on organic farming. I have always been a home gardening enthusiast who grew small sustainable vegetable and herb gardens at home and cared about the positive influence of healthy eating in today’s hectic lifestyle. This passion of mine has now transformed me into a farmer who runs an organic farm in Kayamkulam, Kerala. My organic farm is spread over 5 acres where we grow coconut palms, paddy, fruits, vegetables,  spices, perennial plants and avenue trees. Our farm employs new farming technologies like Drip Irrigation, Fertigation, Poly house and Rain shelters. It also incorporates a few alternative methods to eliminate the use of pesticides. Apart from running the farm, I also take classes to students and other interested adults on organic farming and the importance of using organic fertilizers. I have created this website and the associated blog as a gateway to share my experiences with organic farming and I hope to create awareness amongst people of its benefits through my journey. Through this website I also hope to promote locally grown organic produce and to encourage people to start their own small organic home gardens by sharing with my readers the various aspects involved in successfully running an organic farm.
